I believe hot chocolate tastes so much better in a cute festive mug...real chocolate shavings help too of course! This little guy is trying not to melt with being so close to a hot drink that he's fanning himself. This mug was given to me by my little brother Jonathan.

This is Willa my beloved 14 year old westie. First without her plaid coat shivering but wanting to explore this just shoveled path. The second with her plaid coat and snow all over her face. It took a few days of snow melting before she could safely jump around in the snow.

So Many Snowmen

The weather man said it was the most snow the east end had ever seen since keeping record. The snow storm began on December 19 and ended the next day dropping 24 inches of snow in our garden. I had great ideas of making the largest snowman ever, decorating him with all kinds of clever outfits. But just the shoveling to an open space then shoveling a clearing with an icy wind blowing under my coat made me abandon that idea. Instead I gorged on too many sugary treats and took photos of the snowy scenes.
